Welcome to 3rd Eastern Passage Beavers Web Page
To help ensure that all of the Beavers and their families have a successful and enjoyable experience in the Scouting Movement, we have compiled a handbook to help familiarize you, the parents, with our program. Details about our program, like investiture, opening and closing ceremonies, terminology, etc. is in the handbook, which will be provided for new families. For additional resources, an online link for the National Scouts Canada handbook is located lower on this page.

The Beaver Program is designed for children ages 5-8 years old. The aim of the program is to have fun and learn through sharing.
Our program consists of games, crafts, songs,
and special events. Our meetings run from 6:30 - 7:30 P.M. each Thursday, at Tallhassee Community Centre. We ask that a parent or care giver accompany the Beaver to and from the meetings.

Regular Routine:
1. Arrival 6:25 P.M. 2. Parent or care giver help Beaver change into indoor clothing and footwear and escort your Beaver to the appropriate lodge table. There will be a pre-assigned activity for the Beavers at the table, that everyone is expected to participate in, until all of the Beavers arrive and attendance is taken. 3. Opening
4. Theme-related activities
5. Closing and announcements
6. Beavers go home 7:30 P.M.
We will be following the above routine regularly, and we ask that you please reinforce the importance of this routine with your Beaver.
As parents and care givers, you play an important part in our colony's activities. We will keep you informed of our monthly schedule and events as they are planned.
Dues are collected each week to cover craft supplies, stationery, special treats, some field trip costs, special crests, etc.
Dues are $1.00, and are collected at every meeting. If your child forgets to bring their dues,
please bring it the following week. Someone will contact you on a monthly basis for any outstanding dues on record.
Each week, one Beaver from each lodge places their lodge's dues in the Beaver Bucket (also known as "Feeding the Beaver"), so it is important that your child experience this part of the program.
